Back Yard Fun

July is the time to enjoy Grandchildren, cook outdoors and swat the skeeters in Kentucky. The peaches are ripe and the eating is great.
Homemade peach cobbler and vanilla ice cream.
Too bad school is starting back early this year. Far too soon the long lazy summer days will come to an end.

Small Town Kentucky Life

Hi everyone.
Welcome to my blog about living in a small town in Kentucky. Some of my favorite topics are family and children, but we won't be limited to that.
If you live in a small town you can probably relate. We can talk about small town politics our little town is famous for it.
Our paper is notorious for publishing what the think we should know about and leaving the reporting to the surrounding area publications. Especially when it is someone of influence that has made the news.
When Hillary came to town we had so much excitement about a presidential election. The area high school was set up for the rally. Shuttles were ferrying people across town for the event. The paper was abuzz for days.
I'm not going to say that my community is prejudice, but not once since Obama got the "presumed" Democratic nomination has my paper mentioned the Presidential election.
It will be interesting to see how our community votes this year since we have always been Democrat.
I expect Small Town Kentucky to vote for the Repubician candidate because they see everything in shades of black and white.
